Tension Setting Ring + Pendants August 24th + 25th
Workshop Date: August 24th + 25th 9am - 4pm
Workshop Location: Bendigo City (full address details will be emailed to you after booking)
Join us for this weekend workshop on Tension Setting and learn how to create two handcrafted silver pieces. You will learn the process of setting a faceted gem in each of your projects, looking at design principles that will make your gem the focal point.
This is your chance to play with design, learning how to harden your metal through forging and hammering, texturing, combining materials including wires in brass, silver and copper. You will explore various finishing techniques, looking at contrasting finishes such as polish and matte, textured and smooth.
No experience needed. Even if this is your first time in creating jewellery, our step-by-step teaching method will guide you to success. Your teacher, Dan Cox has been teaching jewellery making for the past decade and has a wealth of knowledge in various processes and techniques.
What to Bring: All you need to bring with you is yourself, your notebook and your willingness to learn, we will take care of the rest! Yes, that's right. We provide tea/coffee, biscuits and cheeses, lunches and snacks to keep you fuelled up and ready to go. Just let us know if you require any special dietary needs and we will do the rest!
